Why Phoenix East

Welcome to Phoenix East Aviation, Inc.

Aviation Education - Accredited Flight SchoolWe would like to take this time to offer you some of the many reasons why Phoenix East Aviation, Inc. is a great place to get an aviation education.

Phoenix East Aviation (PEA), Inc. is an approved FAA Part 141 & 61 flight school that has self-examining authority. What this means to you is that not only does the FAA approve our training syllabus but they put their stamp of approval on PEA as a school. Additionally, our own employees give you the FAA flight exam here in the school. The FAA evaluates and reevaluates our employees to make sure our flight exams meet their standards. In the end, this saves you time and money. Additionally, we are one of the few schools in the United States to have special FAA approval on a Commercial "train to proficiency" course. Again, the FAA has given us their stamp of approval for this special course designed to save you time and money.

Our location in Daytona Beach means you can fly all year round. Our location on the airport gives a quick access to all runways, which means you get in the air faster to start your training. We also have 4 additional non-controlled airports, which surround Daytona Beach, which give you additional opportunities to supplement your training environment.

Great weather, easy access, convenience, and a great training environment are important to your success in training.

Train to be a Commercial Airline Pilot at PEAWe are an accredited school through the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET). This means you can be sure that our courses and programs are constantly being reviewed for the performance in the quality of the education you receive. ACCET reports to the Department of Education concerning our students and graduates performance. This means we have to show ACCET our desire to not only provide a quality education but also show our graduates our succeeding in the aviation industry!

We offer advanced systems training in Turbo Prop, Turbo Jet, Cockpit Resource Management, Human Factors, Electronic Flight Information Systems, Flight Management Systems, and Airline Interview Preparation. We are constantly in contact with the airlines to make sure our graduates are prepared to face the challenges that await them. We are committed to upgrading our training in an effort to improve the quality of education to our students and employees.

For military veterans, we have the approval from the Veterans Administration (VA). The VA will pay you back up to 60% of your flight tuition! We help our veterans make sure they can get all their paper work in to the VA properly so they can enjoy their educational benefits and start getting back their money!

US and International Students - Learn to Fly at PEAWe offer a quality education to U.S. and international students. Half of our of our student body are students from other countries. This cultural diversity offers all of our students a wonderful opportunity to meet and know people from other parts of the world—some places they never heard of! In an effort to support educational and cultural diversity, Phoenix East Aviation, Inc. (PEA) is authorized by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (U.S.C.I.S.) to issue the M-1 student Visa for those students who wish to go to school and obtain an aviation education.

Additionally, PEA is authorized by the State Department to issued the J-1 Visa for those trainees who wish to take part in the Exchange Visitor Program. In this program, trainees will go through a complete professional pilot training program, which will take them from having no experience all the way through the Commercial license with Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings, and then continue training for the Certified Flight Instructor and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Rating.

“"My name is Jason Prestigiacomo and I’m a First Officer for United Express Airlines, operated by Air Wisconsin Airlines. I’m currently based in Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport flying the CRJ. This assignment was made easier because of the flight training I received at Phoenix East Aviation, Daytona Beach, Florida. Career instructors like other flight schools do not run the flight department at PEA. Former airline pilots run it. These pilots have built up thousands of hours in some of the world’s largest and most advanced airliners and know first hand how to make the transition into the airline industry. All of the training is based upon airline standards, which makes things much easier when you step into your first airline or corporate job.

I looked into other flight schools and selected PEA because of their laid-back operation and job placement statistics. I attained all of my certificates and ratings at PEA, and then took a job with them as a Flight Instructor in 2001. If your goal is to become a Boeing 747 Captain or just a weekend pilot, Phoenix East Aviation is the school for you."
