Air France-KLM Orders USD $12 billion
The airline industry continues to show its expected strong growth with the purchasing of more aircraft. Just this week Air France-KLM placed a USD $12 billion order for jet aircraft. The order includes both Boeing and Airbus planes — 25 Boeing 787 jumbo Dreamliners and 25 Airbus A350s.
The announcement is the result of months of negotiation between governments and aircraft manufacturers with Air France-KLM.

It expects to deliver the first B787 to Air France-KLM in 2016, and Airbus expects to deliver the first jumbo A350 to Air France-KLM in 2018. The two airlines merged in 2004, but continue to maintain separate networks.
Air France-KLM expects to operate 73 of these aircraft, including 43 Airbus A350-900 and 30 Boeing 787-9.
