Airline Hiring Increases in the U.S.

Wednesday, August 29, 2012

The U.S. Department of Transportation has just announced that U.S. airlines have increased their hiring in the past year and now employ more workers. For the 19th consecutive month, employee levels are up for U.S. airlines. This increase in the industry's employment is topped by United Continental, which has reported the largest increase in new employees -- nearly 8% from June 2011 to June 2012.

Now is the time.  Are you ready to work for an airline as a pilot?  If you say "no," then you'd better find out about the training you will need, how long it will take, and what the cost is.  Phoenix East Aviation admissions officers can give you all that information -- and more.  The quickest and easiest way to get your questions answered is by going to www.pea.com and filling out a "Contact Me" form.  You will then soon have all the answers and perhaps be on your way to a career as an airline pilot.

I looked into several flight schools before chosing Phoenix East Aviation. While working as a flight attendant for a major airline, I commuted from Boston to Daytona Beach on a weekly basis. Phoenix East Aviation was more than accomodating to my work schedule. I was able to obtain my Private thru Multi-Commerical ratings in just nine months. Even though I didn't get my CFI rating, I was offered several flying jobs because of my multi-engine time. I have flown charters, freight, banners, night signs and parachute jumpers. I am currently a contract pilot for several companies flying jets nationwide.
