Dubai Airline Places Big Aircraft Order
Emirates Airline, based in Dubai, just announded that it had placed an order for another 32 A380 superjumbo jets from Airbus. This order has a list price of nearly USD $12 Billion. And added to the other aircraft Emirates also has on order with Airbus, brings the total to 90 A380s.
Airbus has indicated that this is the single largest A380 order ever recorded. Emirates already has 10 of the planes in service.
John Leahy, Airbus's Chief Operating Officer, said the company now had fir orders for 234 A-380 aircraft from 17 different airlines worldwide.
