Middle East Continues Airline Industry Growth

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA region) experienced strong growth in the airline industry in 2009, according to recent remarks by the director general of the International Air Transport Authority (IATA).  Mr. Giovanni Bisignani said the MENA region saw an increase in passenger demand of over eight percent just in the first eight months of 2009.

Agreeing with the IATA's Mr. Bisignani is Mark Napier, Exhibitions Director, Dubai World Trade Centre, organizer of the prestigious Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, which houses the ITCA Dubai Conference: "The Middle East and North Africa has been one of the top performing markets for the airline industry" The ITCA Dubai Exhibition is supported by Emirates Airlines as an official sponsor.
