Need for Pilots in Africa

The new study published by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) projects the great need for an increase in pilots to be in the region of Africa. However, the pilot attrition rate in North America because of retirements is expect to have a large impact on pilot supply and employment.  It is expected that 292,314 pilots will be needed in North America by 2030, while 262,329 will be needed in Europe and 229,676 in Asia/Pacific region.
