New "Dreamliner" 787 Aircraft Soon to be Delivered
Wednesday, May 19, 2010
Boeing reports that it's on schedule to deliver the first 787 Dreamliner this year. The first one will go to Japan's All Nippon Airways. This state-of-the-art aircraft will compete with Airbus' A380 -- both superb aircraft.
Production was delayed a number of times, mainly because of shortage of parts and a change in design.
U.S. airlines United and Continental, soon to merge, both have orders for Boeing planes, including 35 single aisle 737s and 50 of the new 787 Dreamliners.
