Piper Aircraft Plans Global Expansion
Piper Aircraft, located in Vero Beach, Florida, USA, is on a growth path, funded with investment from oil-rich Brunei. Recently purchased by Imprimis, an investment company with offices in Bangkok, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam, Piper plans to aggressively develop and market new aircraft, including the USD$2.2 million very light jet (VLJ) PiperJet. The company is also reintroducing the Archer next year, plus various upgraded aircraft, such as the G-1000 equipped Meridian (single engine turboprop).
Piper's global expansion will be focused on Asian markets. It will extend its dealer network into 12 regions, including Southeast Asia, India, China and Australia.
