00May 13, 2011 in Blog
Russia’s Taimyr Airlines (also called NordStar Airlines) has bought four new aircraft, the ATR 42-500.  They also have three options for additional aircraft. The Krasnoyarsk-based ATR 42-500s will fly to domestic destinations with the Krasnoyarsk Region plus to Ekerinburg, Irkutsk, and Novosibirsk.

Equipped with Pratt & Whitney 127M engines, the 46 seat aircraft will be specially outfitted for operations in Siberia and Russian Far North, where operations down to -45 degrees C are common.
