Spain’s Iberia and British Airways to Merge
The pending merger between Iberia Lineas Aereas de Espana and Britsh Airways (BA) will create Europe's third-largest airline by revenue. The two airlines have been in merger talks for nearly two years. For Iberia and BA, this merger will mean competing more with Deutsche- Lufthansa and Air France-KLM. The new company plans to have its headquarters in Madrid, but with its operational offices in London.
