** PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM I
Program Includes: Commercial License, Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine
Rating, Certified Flight Instructor Rating, Certified Flight Instructor
Instrument Rating and Glass Cockpit Training Course.
Prerequisite: Private License. Student may begin Professional I Program
immediately upon achieving Private Pilot License.
Designed for the pilot who wishes to obtain Commercial License with
Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings. The student will also be trained
to receive the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight
Instructor Instrument Ratings (CFII). Upon completion, the pilot is
qualified to be a Flight Instructor in a single-engine aircraft and
teach students to be licensed Private, Commercial or Instrument-rated
pilots. These ratings are extremely helpful for the pilot who desires
to advance his/her flight time and flight experience. The Glass Cockpit
Course trains the pilot to operate in a multi-crew environment while
managing advanced aircraft systems. Aircraft flown includes the new
Diamond DA-42 twin engine, as well as the Cessna C-172SP and Decathlon
8KCAB.
The Professional I Program also includes the Unusual Attitude and Upset
Recovery Training Course, which provides important training for students
who plan to be professional pilots. It is a rigorous combination of
hands-on maneuver-based and scenario-based training profiles which enhance
flying skills. Most important, this course also improves the pilot's
decision-making skills in emergency situations. Aircraft flown includes

“"My name is Jason Prestigiacomo and I’m a First Officer for United Express Airlines, operated by Air Wisconsin Airlines. I’m currently based in Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport flying the CRJ. This assignment was made easier because of the flight training I received at Phoenix East Aviation, Daytona Beach, Florida. Career instructors like other flight schools do not run the flight department at PEA. Former airline pilots run it. These pilots have built up thousands of hours in some of the world’s largest and most advanced airliners and know first hand how to make the transition into the airline industry. All of the training is based upon airline standards, which makes things much easier when you step into your first airline or corporate job.
I looked into other flight schools and selected PEA because of their laid-back operation and job placement statistics. I attained all of my certificates and ratings at PEA, and then took a job with them as a Flight Instructor in 2001. If your goal is to become a Boeing 747 Captain or just a weekend pilot, Phoenix East Aviation is the school for you."
